inside our self!

In Sanskrit meditation is known as "Dyane", that is the flux which runs in the mind towards the unification with Cosmic Conscience. The initial practice of meditation includes some forms of Dhyane. With time and individual progress other lessons will be tought in order to penetrate deeply in meditation.

Those practice have two functions:

  1. the gradual control of cakras, nadiis and kundalini (various spiritual energy points, channels and strenghts in the body)

  2. gradual purification and the control of the Kosas (stages of mind).

SADHANA

The word Sdhana signifies effort. In this context it refers to the effort we put in becoming fulfilled to reach a spiritual goal. The first eight points covered so far can be considered psycho-physical. They concern the well being of the body whic h is necessary to think clearly. It is not possible to reach this goal only through fasting, by selecting what we eat or by maintaining cleanliness. In order to achieve a better mental control there must be a small psycho-spiritual effort which unifies our mind to the cosmic one. Sadhana therefore refers to those efforts and includes other practices which are in direct relation or interfere with them. Madhuvidya: literally signifies "honey knowledge" that is to be able to recognise in any living being the m anifestation of Brahma. To have in your mind this ideology develops in the Sadhana a true feeling of cosmic love. It frees it from selfish behaviour; this constant feeling of divine presence gives life a deeper meaning and it becomes impossible to behave badly. Through Madhuvidya all fears, inferiority or superiority complexes are elirninated, Every day life is not anymore an obstacle for spiritual progress; every daily action such as eating, sleeping, working or playing is seen under a new light, as an ex pression of that divinity Madhuvidya allows sadhanaką spiritual aspirant to live and work in the world without accumulating samskaras (potential reactions to any action often wrongfully known as "karma").In the Sadhana, the specific lesson taught to sadhaka to help him to stabilise in Madhuvidya is called Guru Mantra, which is a Mantra specifically used before completing any action. Maddhuvidya Sadhana is therefore the effort to identify oneself with the Supreme through the Mantra meanings.
